Thats a personal preference. IF you can eat breakfast before you exercise without getting sick to your stomach or cramps AND you enjoy it, then yes, do it. IF not to either of those, then wait. However, you should always eat about 250 - 300 calories approximately a half hour before you exercise to give you energy throughout. If you exercise for long periods of time you should also eat during your workout, if possible.

IF you eat after, do not wait long! Make sure to continue to fuel your body so you don't fatigue or hurt yourself.

Oatmeal is good, but not coffee. Caffeine could kill you. What i usually do is eat first then after 1 hour, start with a light exercise going to a heavy one(exercise).

it depends..but y don't u try this..i usually eat a meal (consist of veges, meat and a little bit of carb) at night an hour before i go to sleep so that i wont feel hungry in the morning-this way, i can immediately hit the gym or hit the pool for a 3 hour swim...in case u feel hungry after your work out-munch on some oatmeal cookies or apples and bananas coz this foodies contains lots of good nutrients- or how bout fruit platter that consist of bananas, pineapple, mango, orange and apple.

As a rule, you should never work out on an empty stomach. The only exception would be jogging specifically to lose body fat. But for all strenuous workouts, you most definitely should never be working on an empty stomach. But it is equally bad to be working with a full stomach. Your best bet, in my mind, is to, first thing out of bed, mix one scoop of protein supplement with fat free milk followed be a small bowl of whole grain cereal. That way you ensure that you have amino asides to support your muscles and carbs to fuel your workout in your system. After you are done working out you should immediately get more protein and some high glysemic carbs in your system. After a really high intensity workout is the best time to have you big meal, like steak and eggs.

Basic health, and so much foolishness! If you aren't hungry, don't eat. During the night, assuming you went to bed with an empty stomach, the liver is working to mobilize energy. When you eat, the liver turns around (so to speak) and works to store energy. If you are doing moderate exercise your liver can keep you going for quite a while. (do you want to gain weight, loose weight, or stay the same?)

i could say after the exercising because of the fact then your burning off the energy from the day previous and then once you consume you wont experience such as you have burned off the cereal thats meant to maintain you going for the day. and you will probably burn off those energy merely strolling up stairs or some thing which you're able to do on your on a regular basis recurring besides.

I would never do any exercise on an empty stomach. You don't have to have a full breakfast before you do exercise, as long as you have some type fruit such as banana or apple to give enough energy for your exercises.
