I've been asking a lot of questions about motherhood but I don't seem to be getting very balanced answers. Possible the Answers community aren't 'typical' of the British population at large. The birth rate in Britain is currently 1.7 children per woman. How many do you have and how old are you? It seems like everyone on here has a lot of kids!

I live in Devon, I'm 25 and have no children. I would love to have kids someday but plan on being financially secure first! The plan is to spend the next 5 years sorting my career and finances and then start a family. Providing I am in a solid, loving relationship, that is!!

Here in the states the birth rate is 2.1 - so we do have more kids (on average) Again, avergely speaking, women who have their first baby at a young age are more likely to have MORE children over a lifetime....
