There is always a connection between you and your first love because it was the first time you experienced what love is in a romantic way. That never goes away. All your future romantic relationships will be build on OR compared to that first time. I think it is a beautiful thing; some others may disagree though.

You answered that question within ur question, simply because they are your first love. In relationships no matter who you date you are going to do some of the same things movies, walks, cuddle while watching tv etc... The first time you do something like that you have never felt that way before so the feelings are more intense. After they screw you over it's all a routine, same ish different girl

I think that your first love is important because it is the source of your first connection to emotional feelings. It teaches you about the power of emotion and how it can impact your life. It is also a window into many new feelings, jealousy, passion, desire, pain. Some are good, some are bad but they are all human and all real. The first time we feel these things it is beautiful and we should never let those images go.
