It is conceptually believed that viruses make us ill but they always attack us in winter months and not necessary our lifestyles.

Also has certain foods or drinks made you better?

Food and drink can make you ill (drinking too much alcohol, rings a bell for me anyway).

Viruses can also make you ill. They don't always attack in the winter months.

Many types of food and drink can make you feel better and boost your immune system too.

Viruses like norovirus (which causes gastroenteritis) and various cold viruses often strike in the winter because of a few lifestyle issues. When it's cold, people cloister together indoors. This makes it easy to pass viruses between people. Cold weather can also affect the immune system (being cold can be a strain on the body), making us more vulnerable to infection. Lastly, when it's cold out, the water in your home probably runs a little bit colder, too. As minute a detail that may be, cold tap water can be off-putting when you need to wash your hands. Rather than wait for the tap water to warm, some people forgo hand washing, or they're not as thorough because the cold water makes their hands uncomfortable.

Which is not to say that diet and nutrition can't influence our health one way or another. If you eat nutritious foods like lots of fruits and veggies, yes, you will feel better. Your digestive tract will move regularly. you'll get more vitamins and minerals. And you'll get the right kind of sugars to keep your body running. If you eat nothing but junk all day, then you'll be missing out on vitamins, minerals. But you'll get a lot of fat and excess sugar. Poor diet can definitely make people sluggish and constipated.

The real answer to your question is that BOTH viruses and diet can affect health. The comparison between the two is kinda like apples and file cabinets.

If you eat a healthy diet you are less likely to catch virusesl than someone who lives on burgers, white bread, chips and fizzy drinks (which loads of people do), Plenty of fruit, veg, pulses, wholegrain cereals and only a small amount of lean meat occasionally will make you feel 100% better.
