The patches worked for me i haven`t smoked for a year now
The patches really do help with the craving but you really have to want to give up
When the craving gets bad get moving even if its only walking up and down the stairs just to take your mind of it
Remember the craving only lasts about a minute it just seems longer
Good luck you can do it

Use common sence, smoking is bad and you must stop it. Almost everything that happens deals with your mind, just think of other things. Don't keep your mind free, keep it busy. Don't eat food, for help!!! Because then you will get fat from eating to much, and you'll think smoking is the only way to stay skinny. It's all in the mind, everything is.
Example: "Lets say you did something really stupid at work, and you cant forget about it because everyone was laughing and you felt stupid." Now I bet you, from you just reading that you were trying to think about something you did stupid at work sometime, and completely forgot smoking. See it's all in the mind.

What others said. Keep busy with a good exercise program, keep chewing gum for those times when you must put something in your mouth, and find a hobby to keep your hands busy.
Another thing I might suggest: Clean. It will burn up nervous energy, and by the time you're over the cravings you will wonder how you stood the smell for so long.
Good luck!

patches won't help much, you ll lose the need for nicotine in about 3 days, the habit of smoking is worse, try exercising and eating! (after a good work-out i never want to smoke, and eating just gives you something to do)
I YOU really want to quit its not that hard to do, if you are only quitting because others want you to, your up for a rough time (and probably going to smoke again soon)
Good luck!

Try telling your sob story to a hardened heroin addict, and then look me in the eyes and tell me again that smoking is the worst habit ever.
