It appears on your answer because only you can edit or delete your comment. You can edit or delete the answer to any question after you submit it and until the question is resolved.

Because sometimes you make a mistake when you answer, thus the "edit button".
If you put down an answer that you realize later, you want to delete, the "delete" key comes in mighty handy...
It is Yahoo's way of saying all people who submit answers here are not PERFIKT....

Some mistakes or certain unacceptable points may have with our answers though not harmful.Under such circumstances, I belief, it is a open or a given chance to repaired
the mistakes after all delete or edit is always for the mistakes.

Because you can edit or delete your answer. If you want to change or add comments you can. If you delete, you don't get the 2 points and you can't answer that question again.

they only appear on your answers not anyone else's. sometimes you submit an answer and want to correct it, revise it, or delete it. so you get the chance. but you can't touch anyone else's answers and they can't touch yours.
