It sounds like you are really ready to make it happen in your life and change your lifestyle for the better. Which is great. I would suggest not doing online and just taking 2 classes per semester until you finish, but if you can't fit that into your schedule, then online might be your only answer. As far as i know, the most well-respected online university is University of Phoenix. Check them out at http://www.phoenixuniv.org/index.php?pub_id=bmgg&keyword=online_classes
As far as funding it, you should fill out a FAFSA first and see what kind of aid you qualify for from the goverment. You can do that online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
Next, if you don't have any luck with that, try a private student loan. It is very easy to apply and as long as you have some established credit or a co-signer, you should be ok. Try http://www.thinkfinancial.com
They are very easy to deal with, have an easy online application and the money is sent directly to you. Best of Luck.

6400 seems kinda like a lot.... unless you really desperately need that much and you are making about 2 bucks an hour. go to fafsa.org and fill out the online worksheet once you do your taxes. if you dont depend on your parents income, the better since they will only count yours which will mean... more money!
just have a copy of your taxes (the papers they make you send to the IRS).

The college will have a financial aid office you can contact to find out all this information, the college itself will likely have an aid program you won't find anywhere else.

Join the military. It will give you up to $80,000 for college.

Don't want that sort of committment? Try the reserves. You will qualify for tuition reimbursement and/or the GI Bill.

I'm not a recruiter, just giving you something to think about. Good luck in whatever you decide to do!
