unfortunaly the reason why you are discharged is always posted on your records..They will start by stating the chapter by number then they will explain what the chapter is but they don't go into specifics of you personally. But just listing the reason why you were chaptered is enough to make furture employers look the other way...

Not sure of the wording but it will reflect the drug abuse the individual was eliminated from the service. Depending if they opt for a court-martial and what they received, if found guilty by the courts they might serve prison time. It could be Bad Conduct Dishonorable Discharge, it could fall under General Conduct Dishonorable Discharge with a stipulation on how long it will carry before the individual can appeal and get it changed to Honorable Conduct Discharge. The best to have of course is the Honorable ConductDischarge. The individual doesn't want the bad mark from the actions to follow them the rest of their lives.

This goes on your record to be seen by every future potential employer. No one wants to hire someone that got screwed up on drugs and let go. The only ones that don't really care are the jobs that hire for short term like McDonald's and retail business and even some of those check your background first. Any business that does a background check will immediately come across those drugs and that application will be passed over for someone more desirable.
It's not something that goes away either. It will follow you forever.
