in the bible it says about you cant mar the corners of the beard or something like that....does that mean that you cant shave at all or does it mean like the sideburns and chin area????

This was one of the many bye-laws imposed by the Pharisee`s and was binding on the Jews,it is not applicable to Christians .

That law is not important, but that law is still followed by the Jews. It means that you cannot shave at all. What is important is that we love God.

that's part of "the Law" the majority of it was written to help the Jews with hygiene issues since they didn't have the scientific knowledge that we now have... other parts are still in use today... focus more on the New Testament teachings of Christ.
