I want to hook up my video camera to the computer with RCA cables, so I need some kind of an adapter.

Yes, that camera is a MiniDV tape camera, thus it need a firewire connection to get from the camera to the computer. And stop using WMM, only little kids use that program. For Sub $100 CDN you can get awesome programs that make movie maker look like a toy.

it's either a Display card with Video input or a Video Capture Card/Device. if you have a newer camcorder with I-Link Features, connect it to your firewire port.

Go for good TV Tuner card (PCI) with all types of input sockets.
It will fulfil all your AVI-O

i think its the usb cord. i might be wrong. it should tell you on the box what you need. good luck............
