You need to distinguish between Hierarchist or State Communism and Anarchist Communism. Most religions believe in equality, community and personal responsibility, which is very much what the political philosophy known as Anarchism also espouses.
In answer to the question, I'd say yes, but not State Communism. In fact, there is even a movement known as Christian Anarchism. Have a look at these links for more information.

Community is different than Communist. Community stresses unity in communion with one another and in Christianity, God is the central unifier or joiner that espouses the people to beliefs in Him through His Word.
Many different types of communes have been developed as potential utopias, but usually result in failure as a way of life. Without a moral base, the theory of utopia dies.
But Jesus says: I am the vine and you are the branches. If you remain in me you will have eternal life.
So not only is there a written practice of moral law, but there is a spiritually guided life in the soul that transforms the people to communion, one body in this one Lord.
Thus, in order to be certain that you are entering a true communion or community, you must discern if Christ is truly present and the actions of the community are guided by the Holy Spirit according to His Word.
A major proscription of Christ is this sacramental institution of Peter as the rock upon which He builds His Church. The Lord said in other passages that a Household must be built upon a firm foundation, because He then said: And the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. And given primacy, He also gave to the priesthood of the Apostles and their successors the power to
secure eternal life for the followers of Christ.
So, this is more than a community and more than a communion, it is a Divine Covenant that is beyond the natural norms of human endeavor. Futher the Law is eminent beyond natural norms, encompassing both life and death. Finally, in the embodiment of a mystery that embraces a Divine Oneness with God, a transformation above natural being is comprehended by
no human mind in completeness, but is contemplated over thousands of years of testimony of the saints.
So we do not find the work of one man or any one group here.
But something far greater, that no one man could contain.

No.
Communism believes in ensuring everyone has food and a home only so that they can continue to work to help provide for those that are in power.
Christianity believes in equality for all of those within the congregation so that nobody hass more or less than the other.
Disregard anything PsychoMiss says. She blatantly hates anything to do with Christianity as witnessed by all of her posts in Yahoo Answers. She has no knowledge of Christianity because she's never been a Christian. Everything she says is all hearsay.

There is no equality in Christianity.
Women are inferior creatures, non-believers are the devil, and homosexuals are to be murdered in their homes.
I would think one would be better off with Communism.
