good point! i just throw mine at the TV after a while and try and change the channel that way!

I don't. I remove the back of the remote and roll the batteries about a bit while pressing the buttons at the same time. We've had the same batteries in our TV remote for the past two years, we start using the rolling process nearly a year ago. And no, I don't get up to change the channels by hand, the remote works.

as the batteries' power decreases, energy which remote gets is less, therefore, we need to press more to give it more energy.
The range of the remote also gets less.

I recommend to throw that remote into the bin and get a new solar remote.

remote? my remote doesnt have buttons her name is tamara and ive been married to here for years i just yell at her what channel i want and she rolls in on her wheelchair and changes it for me sometimes 1... 2.. 300 times a night

because people are retarded. they do the same thing when trying to communicate with someonr who speaks a different language. ..Maybe if i talk louder and slower they'll understand. Or Not! When you press the buttons harder it doesn't make it work any better.
