You have a few choices, the most obvious being, just keep up the great work you have done so far!! Another thing you can try is to trick your body. Have a weekend where you increase your calorie intake; just for those two days though! Your body will see you have increased your intake ( do not stop exercising that weekend though) but will not realise your activity level is the same. Then when you resume your new eating habits your body will be tricked into letting go so to speak. I know it doesn't sound very sensible, but I have seen it work. Have you tried aquarobics? Its aerobics in the pool and is great for folks with arthritis etc. It is very low impact. You may also find that as your weight becomes more appropriate for you that your joint pains will decrease. I used to have alot of joint pain too and when I got my weight back into a healthy zone it went away. Good luck and keep up the great work!!

That is normal. You seem to know what works for you, perhaps just breaking up one meal into two snacks, or breaking up your exercise routine in half and spacing it out throughout the day. I'm not sure what you are able to do, but if you can find a cardio activity that is slightly different, it might work (ex... if you walk on the treadmill for 40 minutes a day, try 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening - or try swimming).

Good luck - Plateaus suck.

You have come a long way already. 84 pounds is a lot to lose in four months. That is 22 pounds a month! Keep eating healthy and exercise within your capabilities. If you have accsess to a sahllow pool, you can execrise in water with less impact on your achey joints and muscles.

I would consult a physician or personal trainer... someone who knows your symptoms and ailments and can build a routine around that.

Congratulations on your weight loss!
