Yes, I have a couple of buddhist friends and they are great. They are very nice and loving people. I think a lot of people could learn from them.

I practise zen 6 days a week, but I;m not Buddhist.
I have friends that are Catholic, protestant, moslem, Buddhist, Taoist, Wiccan. Just about every religion known to man.

Nipha, be careful PEOPLE are nice or not, religions don't necessarily make one "nice" or "not nice". I've found many nice people in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Neo-paganism, Wicca, Zoroastrianism (my dentist actually is the 1st one I met and she is "nice"). Hope this helps you perceive things with more clarity.
