Swimming won't add height but the total body stretch will loosen the muscles and make the body more lithe. Slims the body of uneeded fat stores. Great for the heart & lungs.

Swimming doesn't help your height sorry to say, but it will make you have better flexibility and can slim your body based on how intensily and long you do it. Height is genetically determined, but you'll gain strength and get good cardio by swimming.

You have to swim a lot to burn many calories, but it is a great all-over workout, meaning it uses many different muscles. Check this out for specific numbers:

I don't know of any research that states anything about improving height, but someone must have tried!

well swimming burns calories which helps with the slimming down part. but last time i checked you cannot get taller by swimming.

as far as i know swimming doesnt help in adding height.But its the best way to loose pounds and become slim!Thats because the hole body works out so you loose pounds equally to all body parts! i have try it and it helped a lot!
