I've have found my friend to be ignoring me because of my religious choice, he is a christian and i am a pagan (i was agnostic before) because it feels right to me, ever since he got baptised as a born-again, i feel that he has been brainwashed by his friend andy, who shoves his beliefs onto me (wearing a cross out and occasional ranting about god and how i am a devil worshipper, blah, blah, blah). i am the only real friend that he's got (he fell out with my other friend), but i know do know that as soon as he has a fall-out with this andy, he'll want to be my friend again (because he won't have anybody else to turn to), my parents said that i shouldn't talk to him again, i find that he talks to me a lot less now because he goes to christian church and everytime he sees me he either ignores me or turns around and walks off, i feel that he is laughing at me behind my back with his christian friends, its very annoying and upsetting,

What do you think i should do about this??

You may have to find a new friend. It is a two way street and if he doesn't want to, there isn't much you can do.

Make plans with your friend without Andy around. In general the religious differences may be too great.

If he is attending a Christian church, he has more friends than he can count. If I were you, I would move on with life and live it to its fullness because this life is all you have.

I am Christian and I'm very, very saddened by your question.

If your friend is truly Christian then he needs to understand fully the basic tenet of Christianity -

LOVE

i really dont think its all as bad as you imagine, put yr personal religious beliefs/feelings aside, and treasure the "friendship" that is between you...mutually respect personal choices and be glad that altho you may not accept/consider/respect his baptism/beliefs etc, you now have a friend who would lay his life down for you, as this is the heart and hallmark of a true "born of the Spirit" believer!...God bless

I speak for all my atheist and agnostic brethren when I say that you should lose the Christian! He obviously has a low IQ and likely has nothing important to add to any dialog. So, why bother?

Confront your friend about your feelings, but remember that you may not be able to change his mind. Sometimes friends grow together, sometimes they grow apart, and sometimes there are breaks in between. All the best.
