Adam was created first, then Eve was created from the rib of Adam.

After they were placed on earth, they procreated.
Their offspring were born in pigeon pairs i.e. they had twins who were one male child and one female child.

The female offspring from the first set of twins married the male offspring from the second set of twins.
The male from the first set of twins married the female from the second set of twins.

That was how their family grew.

This is just a repeat of the age old argument of whether Adam and Eve were actually the first two people on earth.

To literalists (those who listen only to the King James version of the bible) the Adam and Eve story is true.

To everyone else in the world and those who listen to scientists and anthropologists, the Adam and Eve story is an allegory, referring to spirtual human beings and not to procreative members of homo sapiens.

For some reason the proven existence of human beings living a million years ago is ignored by some religious extremists, perhaps even famous eveangelists like Billy Graham. These folks either will NOT look at the skulls and skeletons of bibedal humans that walked and cooked and made babies a million years ago.

Dr. Richard Leakey and Dart spent their whole lives discovering early human fossils and every university in the world (except those like Oral Roberts and Jerry Falwells) show and teach the early beginnings of human kind.

The saddest thing is that people don't realize that the bible was written some 4000 years ago when nothing was known about science. The scribes that wrote knew only about the world at that time. So we have two people in a Garden of Eden speaking to snakes and these are supposed to be the first two human beings.

The fact is that early humans did not have the ability to speak at all for thousands of years. Until the human hyloid bone and throat structures modified speech was not possible. Nevertheless these people were human in the sense that they walked on two legs, were intelligent enough to make tools, use fire, create weapons (the first weapon being an animal femur).

The bible is till an amazing book, a history book of the Jewish people and one filled with parabels (a story to illustrate a moral or religious attitude) and allegories (fables using symbols to illustrate an idea, such as good or evil) and it is sad that some readers take each world literally.

Without being over critical it appears that many of us want to "personalize" our belief system. Adam and Eve are always shown to be two beautiful white people of normal height and white skin. Yet we know that early man was never more than four feet tall, was black skinned and was covered with hair. It would not be until migration from Africa, 500,000 years later that humans began to lose their body hair and be lighter skinned (in order to allow vitamin D to enter the body).

Because the Old Testament only mentions women when they have specific historical significance. It was a man-based world back then. It also doesn't say anything about the daughters of most men, just the sons - because the sons carried on the family line and inheritance. In short, Adam and Eve's children married brother and sister.

I believe they had more than two sons, as well. Cain and Abel were only the first two. And if they were having at least three sons, then it makes sense that they would have several daughters.

you need to no longer have study the bible. The bible would not circulate into information approximately the different human like those that here in the previous Adam yet purely tricks at them. They have been those that named and defined the areas that surrounded the backyard. The bible is an Adamic e book no longer a international background e book and deals with the Adamic age that's around 6000 yrs previous which became something new among a lots older age that could have been tens of millions or billions of years previous. Gene a million deals with a psychological and religious blue print which became created quickly simply by fact it would not take time for God to create yet time is particularly element of the introduction and Genesis 2 deals with the particularly actual introduction because it unravels interior the form of time and the days are actually not numbered. Adam's sons (suggested as the sons of God in Genesis 6) blended with those different human like (in all risk stepped forward) human beings. Adam and Eve had greater advantageous than in simple terms 2 sons. Cain in all risk married a Sumerian female interior the Land of Nod the place he went.

Genesis 4:17 says, "Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch." Who was his wife? It is implied in the biblical text that Cain married one of his sisters. Several facts lead us to this conclusion.
First, it is clear that Adam and Eve had a number of children. Genesis 5:4 says, "After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters." Since Adam and Eve were the first man and woman, and since God had commanded them (and their descendants) to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28), it seems reasonable to conclude that Cain married one of his many sisters. It is also possible that he married a niece or even a grandniece.
One must keep in mind that in the early years of the human race there were no genetic defects that had yet developed as a result of the fall of man. By the time of Abraham, God had not yet declared this kind of marriage to be contrary to His will (see Genesis 20:12). Laws governing incest apparently did not become enacted until the time of Moses (Lev 18:7-17; 20:11,12,14,17,20,21). Hence, there was no prohibition regarding marrying a sister (or niece or grandniece) in the days of Cain.

its commonly believed that adam and eve were quite busy and had many more children than the bible led on. in the days the scripture was written, all accounts were oral, so, many details of women could have been left out, mainly because of the early man's domination over women, and also not to distort the purpose of the message found in cain and abel's account. adam and eve also had a son seth, that many people forget about. why is his account overshadowed by his brothers'. i don't kno, but it shows, how the oral account probably left out the accounts of those whose story is less than profitable.

there probably were accounts of adam and eve's geneology in ancient scrolls and manuscripts. however, when the old testament was consolidated, geneology was probably not one of their main concerns. the message and law takes precedence over the subject material. we do see, later in the old testament, and in the new testament, some references to geneology, this was most important for establishing the right of the tribes of israel, and distinguishing any doubts to jesus' ties to the line of david. they could have also done this because of questions that were probably raised, just as you asked, about the geneology from adam and eve to noah, which if there was a record, was most likely destroyed a long long time ago. they would've wanted to secure any questions as to geneology in the future.

the bible is only literal when it is in the interest of the literalists, otherwise you can tack on any rationalization you want.
