let's say iran does have the ability to develop nuclear weapons... but then what?? do u honestly think that they are interested in bombing israel?? what would be the profit for them???

all that threatening words from Ahmedinejad is nothing but a game. Iran has no interest whatsoever to get rid of israel (it has some interest, but not enough to put in place such a huge effort as to develop nukes and carry out wide-range attacks).

All Iran wants is to open a dialogue with the USA. Developing nukes is only in order to maintain a balance of power/terror with israel. just like during the cold war between the US and russia... each side developed tons of nukes, but never used them...

Can Iran develop nukes? Yes, building nukes isn't that difficult, once one has a nuclear science capability and reactors and centrifuges capable of creating weapons grade materials.

They've put a lot of money into this, to the detriment of the Iranian people.

As for what will happen if they come close to having nuclear capability, that is open to speculation.

Their president has repeatedly said "Death to Israel" and has talked about the elimination of Israel from the face of the Earth.

Will Israel decide to "honor the threat" (a lesson the Jews have learned from the 1930s) and pre-emptively strike Iran? A distinct possibility from a tiny country too small sustain a nuclear strike and survive.

Or will Israel chance it that this is just typical Arab / Islamic trash talk to stir up the savages, but really amounts to nothing more than macho breast-beating, and so not worth letting the nuclear genie out of the bottle?

Difficult call, and difficult decision for them the have to make, because they're staking their very existence on it.

It is a free world they can do as they wish. If Israel can develop and use weapons against it neighbours that the US gave it, why can a country develop its own weapons and do as it wishes.

Iran has and wants to do nothing that the US has not already done.

The US is just worried about the power of the oil economies and the development of Asian economies knocking them off their perch !!!

If you look at history and how the state of Isreal came about, its US support since then you can understand which many Middle Eastern country want to see them removed from the map.

Why do you think US forces have strong holds in the countries on all sides of Iran, because they are the war mongers, how many Iranian forces currently occupy land that is not theirs? NONE The US? LOADS !!!

Iran probably could develop nukes if they wanted to after all it's hardly something new and i imagine if you keep looking you would find plans on eBay .

If as government would have us believe , nuclear warheads are simply there to prevent war then is it not fair that every country in the world should have them ?

And no Israel should not attack because some moron in the press is trying to get a pay rise by inventing news !

Iran is the second phase of the petrowars,the USA will use the
same excuse as in iraq(WMDs).This is just a smokescreen
for a war all about energy(oil)and regen contracts.here are
the FACTS.

Saddam changes from selling oil for dollars to euros.
The USA invade iraq and straight away change the oil for euros
back to dollars.

Is it a coincidence that the US did this?

Iraq will be the last oil producing country on the planet,they will
run out of oil in around 116 years time(BP forecast not mine)

said they want nuclear energy(can you think of another war
that started on this premise?)

Guess which country runs out of oil just before iraq?its Iran.

Isreal cant risk an attack against iran,they could end up starting
WW3,If anything the USA will try covert tactics in iran,by trying

the CIA has reported they will not beable to nuclear weapons for 10 years . they say they want to create nuclear energy is it not so hard to beleive no?????? if they had these weapons which we know they dont and they decided to attack they would be history in mins and so on.

like iraq did iran sells there oil in euro's this has more to do with it , soon iran will be attacked with the interests china and russia has in that country this will create WW3 just watch , this is what the global elite want . it does nothing more than push there new world order agender further forward and this is not good .

They are far from it. First to make a weapon; then to acquire a delivery system; then to pierce through the Anti-missile defence; and inspite of round the clock surveillance by Satellites. But she will be attacked and destroyed anyhow, just as the false accusation of WMD in its neighbouring country, just as the excuse was for Iraq-Iran War. The objectives are beyond Oil...and too well known.

Yes, Iran can and will develop nukes. Most experts say it could be done in as little as 3 years, but probably in no more than 12 years.
Should Israel attack? Well, they've said they won't allow Iran to have nukes, so to uphold that promise they will have to follow through. If I were Israel, I would not feel safe with Iran having nukes. But attacking them (whether its Israel, the U.S. or both) will be awefull and bloody.

It is a bit like bullying kids in the family. I think that some kind of control and openness should be imposed if the world is heading into a self destruct situation. Those who have them should declare them and stop at that and be responsible to the rest of the world through the United Nations.
We cannot uninvent the arrow but we can control the use of it.
