Obviously hair on your head and beard hair, practically grows forever. But arm and leg hair grows to a certain length and then stops and eventually falls out.

Why is hair different in this way? Why?

Hello

Morphologically, there are three types of hair: vellus, terminal, and intermediate.
* Vellus hairs are short, fine, soft, usually nonpigmented, and unmedullated.
* Terminal hairs are large, darkly pigmented, and medullated. Ninety percent of the hairs on the chest, trunk, shoulders, legs, and arms of men are terminal hairs, whereas only 4500 of hairs in the same regions on women are terminal.5

Intermediate hairs occur on the scalp, and they demonstrate a morphology between those of terminal and vellus hairs. Intermediate hairs are medullated and contain a moderate amount of pigment, i.e., less than that found in terminal hairs.6

Everyone's hair grows differently, depending on age, weight, metabolism, hormones, ethnicity, medications, and other factors. But all hair goes through three distinct growth phases:

1) Active growth phase (called the anagen phase), which lasts up to several years. At any given time, the majority (85%) of our body hair is in this phase. During anagen, the hair has an abundance of melanin.

2) Regressive phase (catagen phase), which lasts about two weeks, during which the hair stops growing but is not yet shed. About 3 - 4% of our body hair is in this phase at any given time.

3) Resting phase (telogen phase), which lasts 5 - 6 weeks, at the end of which the hair falls out and a new hair begins to form. Approximately 10-13% of our body hair is in this phase at any one time.

Hope this helps

Every body has one of a kind hair types. Some black people have 3c, 4a, 4b, 4c hair. Some have a combination(greater than one of the crucial earlier mentioned hair types). Quick hair just isn't a hair form. That's because of reducing or lack of appropriate hair care. Same as long hair and thick and the colour of the hair. That is as a result of how well you care for your hair and in the event you use hair dye. Every body else has different hair varieties too. I have an Filipino friend who has naturally curly hair, and so forth and many others.

the hair are different bcoz of their genes that is not matter which type of climate, country, religion u live in. it is bcoz of nutrition moe vitamin A dark black hair like south indians more meat mor golden look.

it also bcoz more no. of nutrients go in ourhead and face . legs and arms donot get such nutrition bcoz of tiredness and so that our face can tolerate more cold than other body parts.not such nutrients affect our other body parts.
