if you can afford them and take the bus trip do them. Alot will be seen on both tours that you cant see from the ground.

When i go to NYC in feb ill be going to Manhatten and i will be going on the Helicopter ride, not sure about the boat though - if we have time we will do it

I've done the full manhatten boat ride, and it is really long. You do get a bit bored after first hour or two, so I would recommend doing a shorter ride. It is worth doing, especially if the weather is nice out. I recommend doing the Circle Line from South Street Seaport. It is beautiful down there, with a lot of wonderful shops and restaurants.

My husband has done the helicopter ride - and although he enjoyed it, he did say it is very expensive. You only get about 15 minutes in the actual air, plus you can get stuck with strangers in the helicopter with you.

the view is awesome... but mighty expensive... on a clear day, go up to the Empire State Building... you can see alot... @ a much lower price... no time limit as well =)
