If I single out adultry when asking questions about the Word of God, or I single out child-rearing in reference to the Bible, is that more acceptable than singling out the topic of homosexuality, which is clearly mentioned in the Bible?
Is saying anything negative about homosexuality considered an epithet or slur?
(I keep getting warned by Yahoo that I am making ephitets or slurs - someone is very sensitive and pushes the button)

Tony B, I did ask a similar question in the gay & lesbian group, and most of the answers there said my remarks were "opinions" and not "epithets and slurs".
Seems the more sensitive folks are the ones who want to believe the Bible does not say what it says when it comes to this topic

I wonder why people do not go on about the Bible's proscription on getting tattoos or body piercing, like they go on about homosexuality. They are even in the same book (Leviticus), but nobody ever threatened a male or female with hell for wearing pierced earrings. Why is that?

I went back and checked some of the questions, at least the ones posted in the LGBT section. And to be honest, I don't feel that any of the questions you asked there are epithets or slurs. As someone before me said, that any disparaging remarks made about homosexuality is an epithet, but I disagree with that. Take it from me, that not all of us homosexuals believe that you were making vicious remarks. And in my opinion, as long as you are posting these types of questions in the religion and spirituality section, there shouldn't be ANY problem.

Try that one in the forum for users of this Yahoo service - I suspect that you are more likely to get a definitive answer there.
The Yahoo answers Forum is different from the various categories. I see that the asked has placed it elsewhere in another category - my suggestion is that he goes to the forum where those of us who use the service can discus issues - Yahoo staff have been know to respond to comments there.
To get to Forum click on the Label that says "Discover" on the top right of many pages on this site. That takes you to a page with a long menu down the left. Cursor down to "Related Links" and "Forum" is one of the options below that heading. I think that it might well be worth your while posting there.

Any attack on homosexuality is an epithet or slur on homosexuality. It really doesn't matter that you use your book of fables to justify your bigotry.
Your Bible also says to treat your neighbors as you would like to be treated. It's featured rather prominently in your "Word of God", and is one of the few words of wisdom in it.
That phrase basically means "Live and let live".

It is not our job as Christians to hate anyone whether we agree with them or not. Practicing homosexuality is a sin. Is it genetic? I do not know but it is their cross to bear. We all have sinned. Everyone had a cross to bear of some sort: alcholism, gambling, etc. Living a Christian life means not acting on these impulses.

Well if you base your moralities on the bible, then you will see that God doesn't follow his own rules. He says "thou shall not kill" and yet he constantly kills us: A great flood wiped out every single mammal except those on a wooden boat. God also killed innocent first born babies in Egypt. If you read some more, God says not to covet thy neighbors wife" Yet the whole second half of the bible is God's child with Joseph's Wife!!! If God teaches morals, then maybe we need another God.

It's a historical mistake since the bible does not mention homosexuality.

The bible is a handbook given us by our creator. We should be able to quote the bible and give the reference.

It is my experience that homosexuals are particularly vicious my friend.
Every time I have even answered on homosexuality and that God is not pleased with it, I get a violation email.
We MUST tell the truth, and always in love.
The Lord bless you.

It just seems pointless to me, what does it concern you what two consenting adults do in private.
