right now scarring is not something to worry about-you cannot put anything on it to help reduce scarring until the scrape scabs over.
wash the area well with warm water and mild soap (dove or ivory). using soaps with perfumes or dyes in it can irritate the wound worse.
after washing it-apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment. if you need to (especially while sleeping), cover it with a gauze square to help prevent the wound from scraping against material, furthing injuring it and also introducing it to new germs. the gauze and tape used to hold it in place can be found at any local drugstore in the first aid section.
wash it at least 3 times per day and keep it covered with the ointment.
ONCE it has a scab over it and is dry-you can apply vitamin E oil or mederma(found at any drug store) to help minimize any scarring. if you try to apply this before the wound scabs over, you could further irritate it or cause infection.
do NOT apply any lotions, creams, or food products-these can carry germs (especially the food) and can also aide in trapping germs from the air-causing a nasty infection to the scrape.
signs of infection are
-increased redness or swelling to the scraped area
-the area burns or is hot to touch
-the scrape begins to ooze liquid (pus)
-you begin to run a fever of 101.0 or higher
if you have any of these symptoms-report to your dr asap to receive antibiotics to treat the infection

Scratches, bumps, bruises, abrasions heal themselves in time. Only if if the damage extends to the lower layers of skin are you likely to be scarred. You'd know if it extended to the lower layers of skin as there's be blood everywhere and you'd be on your way to the ER.
Clean the affected area with warm water and sterile pads, aplly a general antispetic cream, leave exposed to the air and let mother nature heal the wound.
If it's a serious injury and foreign matter is embedded in the wound, or there's profuse bleeding or the cut is very deep then get it checked by a doctor.

you will possibly no longer opt to take heed to 'take your canine to the vet' yet i'm afraid it particularly is the respond you're likely to get to a question like this. there is each and every danger that superficial scratches, self inflicted (why is she scratching?) might heal, yet there is likewise each and every danger that open wounds will grow to be contaminated, and in the event that they do, you will finally end up staring at a a techniques larger bill than you're on the 2d! you're able to run this previous your dad. And human arrangements are no longer constantly ideal to apply on a canine the two. you're able to attempt bathing the injuries with diluted salt water, that's approximately as solid as something. yet you will be able to desire to permit all of it the heal, and persistent bathing won't help the scabbing technique. And confident, do no longer wrap it up - if she keeps to scratch, this desires addressing too!!!! regrettably the value of a canine does not end with the acquisition value!! desire this helps.

Do you have any Cocoa Butter. I have used that when I was pregnant to remove Ugly stretch marks and I have also used it on bad scars from burns ect. You can use household butter if you do not have any cocoa butter, but the smell is not as pleasant.. Good Luck

Take Protein Supplement. It helps healing.
Vit E will also help, so I suggest you take both at the same time.
Take Vit C to help fight infection. Otherwise your wound will worsen
If you need any of these, just contact me. I will recommend you something that really works for me.
p.s. used to have the same problem, now the problem is history.

Cauterize it...pour lighter fluid directly on it and spark your zippo Film it though because it'll be a great visual for later.
Either that or go to the hospital and ask them
