I wait until I meet people to form opnions about them. I don't think Muslims are 'good' or 'bad' I think they are people that follow a certain religion and that is just a fact and not enough to base an opinion on.

Do u think that Muslims r bad or good?what exactly about them?
My daughter asked me to answer this question off the Internet.
The word Muslim means one who has surrender their life to god. Any one in any faith can be a Muslim. The Islamic faith has the same problems as all other religions; people take personal belief and culture plus bad interruption and act upon that. In Islam, it states if you harm an innocent person, you harm the whole world. I have even read In Christian pamphlets put out by a church that Allah is a moon god these ideas come from uneducated people. When Jesus prayed he spoke Aramaic. The word for god in Aramaic is Allah. I have even heard Muslims hate Christians. How can one religion hate another when they both have Jesus teaching in the same book? The Quran has Jesus teachings and talks about the second coming. Many Muslims have a Quran and a Bible. The world is to full of people and governments saying I am right and everyone else is wrong instead of saying, lets work together and bring peace into the world

Muslims are good and bad. It depends on the person. Most people blindly judge Muslims just because of what they see in the media. Well, it isn't the full story. The reason terrorists (extremists) are kind of oozing out of the mid-east is because their land was barged in on first. Before 9/11 all happened, Muslims were still around, and no-one had problems with them. The moderates are perfectly fine, and from what I have heard are a lot more spiritual than the good Christians in our country.

I respect Muslims and the truth about them. People need to know the truth more. Especially when people misquote the quran or state one sura and don't tie it in with the rest. That's just being prejudice, blind, and ignorant without even checking with legitimate sources.

My friend is a Muslim, and he knows the truth. You could ask him all about the Sunnis, Shiites, etc.

My dad is a Muslim. I don't see anything wrong with him.
We got attacked by a handful of Arabs, and now we stereo- type, and assume that they're all evil, hating, terrorists. My dad can be a pain in the butt, but he's NO terrorist.
We generalize, and assume that everything's bad in the middle east (it's not, I've been to Oman, a small country on the Arabian Peninsula, just south of Saudi Arabia), and that quickly leads to racism.
Whenever my family and I go through the airport security, my twin sister, Leila (a Spanish spelling, not the other spelling, "Layla"), and my dad are stopped and asked to remove their shoes, walk through the detector multiple times, or whatever. My sister looks more Arab than I do, and even though we're twins, because all they look at is color and features, they just see a colored girl with short short hair, "Oh, no. She Can't be Arab", and my sister with long, curly, almost black hair "Oh! We gotta see what she and her dad are up to".

If anyone there had even considered looking at names, they might find that we all have the same last name. That is if they were worried about anything of the kind.

I hope this helped or answered the question, but just in case it didn't, Muslims are my family; I have NO problem with that, and I'm not ashamed.

Your question could read: Are Christians good or bad? Or any religious group for that matter. There are always good and bad in all peoples no matter their religion, gender, nationility, etc.
Please don't judge a whole group of any sort, for you may be judged the same way some day.
Folks in general are really great and it only takes a few lines in the news to damn the whole group.
The news, of late, has put many groups in the headlines and too many people are getting their teeth up about it and rolling all into the mix instead of only the few.
Too bad we can't have headlines about the good that folks do for a change.

The majority of Muslims are good people, just like the majority of people of any other religion are decent people as well.

I am an American woman who is married to a Muslim man and living in a Muslim country. I am treated very well, I face no discrimination or violence, I have many rights and freedoms. The people here are very kind, loving, generous and accepting.

you will get positive and negative in every country, race, religion, and family. one should not judge all by the actions of a few. currently the western media has done a clever job of creating an enemy of something that many are ignorant of, but the talking head on the tv says is bad. Islam is a very fast growing religion just now, and spreading into the west quite quickly, hopefully that will lead to a better understanding. God willing we will all be able to get along regardless of religion or race, after all we are all the same species

I don't personally discriminate, which is what your asking. Just because a person is Muslim, Jew, black, or white does not make them a bad person. There character and personality makes them who they are. However in today's society people are way to judgmental. You cant read a book by its cover. You shouldn't for that matter. Everyone deserves a chance. It really frustrates me to think that people treat people this way. I realize that there are wars going on with different countries. People of different nationalities. The kicker here is people look at those people in America and assume there automatically bad. That's not fair. Life is not fair to I know. I just think we should not be so quick to judge.

Muslims are people, some are good and some bad.
the issue is Islam, it's social and cultural effect on Muslims and the effect of that on the world.
the main vices of Islam are:
the concept that Muslims are superior to others and that superiority must be demonstrated, by force if necessary.
the set of values that is an integral part of Islam, where honor is the most important value, and not values like honesty and compassion, which are the values of Christianity.
this results in an inbred arrogance amongst devote Muslims, and in tendency for violence when the value of a person's or a nations honor is blemished.

I don't think all Muslims are bad, but the radical militant Muslims scare me a little because they have no regard for human life or even there own. I think the good Muslims ought to eradicate the militant Muslims because they are giving the good Muslims a bad reputation..
