An airplane is made of hundreds of thousands of parts, and hold anywhere from around 10 to 400+ people. Airplanes can not pull over to the side of the road when they have a problem. It takes years of training and experience, and everyone from air crews to maintenance to ensure that each flight is safe. The only way that everyone can do their part and have confidence that everyone else is doing their's as well, is by intensive training. Training must be accomplished before you do a job, and even periodically through the years as you continue to do it to prevent lax attitudes and methods from creeping into carefully designed programs of flight operations and maintenance.

The lives of several hundred passengers are at stake in an aircraft thousands of metres in the air.Anything can go wrong and airlines must have a strong dependable team with each member trained to remain calm and handle the event in the best possible way.Teamwork is very important as each member is dependent upon his/her team mate.Just refer to movies like con-air,passenger 57 to get an idea of drama in an aircraft.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT :)

the mechanics should have a strong team, so that each can check on the other. this is to look out for any mistakes in their maintanence work. as we all know, human error is inevitable sometimes.

what i learnt is that, though it is not their fault (human error), if mechanics or pilots accidentally caused a mistake in their line of work, many people may die.

hence, in all airline companies, a strong training team is important. this is a brief explanation, hope it helps :)

The better the training, the less likely a flight crew will make a mistake.
Pretty important, in my mind.
