I was a single dad for over 20 yrs, how did I know if someone would love me and my daughter and not just me. Well you DON'T . You never will until you put all 3 people together sit back and watch. Watch all the body language, facial expressions. Listen intensely to the words and how they are said not just what is said. Talk to each other openly and honestly but remember this, kids tend to balk and rebel at changes once their lifestyle is set. You are doing this for you and not them but they are a large part of it.

you will be the only one to determine this, the feelings he will have for your 2 yr will not be the same a a real father, but this dosnt mean he wont love her or treat her badly...you should try to live with him few months before committing to him, this should be enough for you to know him.

i think your old enough to tell.your 2yr will know also.its hard to believe but your 2yr old will know.that age ,she has feelings also.always watch the eyes.they never lie
