HITAN ( Democracy in Heaven ) The Koran makes it very clean that suicide is forbidden: 4:29. even though it states a number of situations that the martyr can assume an afterlife in paradise, they're "alive" (3:169), and have a blessed afterlife: 3:one hundred seventy-174,22:fifty 8. One guy's "suicide bombers," then, are yet another's "martyrs." The 9-eleven hijackers seen themselves no longer as terrorists yet freedom warring parties; which might lead them to martyrs. There strikes grow to be against the USA of a for strikes the USA of a had against ISLAM

Of course they did, in addition they believed they'd be given 72 virgins in heaven for their sacrifice.

This is actually a mistranslation and the virgins are really small white raisins. Yum, but not worth dying for. As normal the great evil is religion, however this might well have happened in spite of it. It was really about foreign politics.

Islam actually forbids Muslims to commit acts of aggression or war-mongering. The only time Muslims are allowed to fight is in self-defence.

In order to do something terribly bad, first you must convince yourself that it is very good. F.D.R. thought it virtuous to let Japan bomb Pearl, so the U.S. would go to war to help Britain! I am sure Bush has some similar misunderstandings. In all things we must please the Almighty, not ourselves. He has made it clear what we should do and how we should worship!
