u can be both! first u become a doctor, earned the profession and trained to be a pilot. then u rent an emergency jet of yr own and hired a pilot and a nurse. when u're on board u take the role of a pilot flying to the destination of the rich patient, the nurse doubles as a stewardess, serving u and the pilot coffee. when u pick up the patient u ask the pilot to fly u back to the hospital while u attend to the patient, the nurse assist u as well as attend to the pilot. u probably be tired by the time u're finished with the patient and if the pilot needs help u can only be a co-pilot since u're tired. when pay day comes u take half of the money from the pilot since u fly half the trip as a captain, and also as a first officer. if the pilot complains u kick him out and hire another pilot. then u'd probably earn more than any other pilots or doctors combined! isn't that worth considering?

i think that a pilot is better. its a job that u can enjoy. u learn about places meet new people new places and u will make more friends than a doctor. a pilot is way better than a doctor because u are always stuck in a office and u might not even get any sick people most of the time. this is why being a pilot is way better than a doctor.

Become a doctor, buy your own jet and fly when YOU want to. I don't see where you can compare the two occupations, A commercial pilot is just a "bus driver with a good paycheck" a doctor, impacts peoples lives every single day. You can be a doctor and a pilot, but likely not the other way around,

im a doctor, al ways wanted to race cars, my parents wanted me to be a doctor so i became one, enjoying every minute being a doctor... but guess what... im still able to race !
you can be a doctor and become an amateur pilot, however if you really want to take up aviation as a career then i think you have to sit down and talk to your parents about it... a commercial pilot is an excellent career path also...
financially, both careers can be rewarding...
im not sure who makes more money though, a pilot or a doctor...but i think its irrelevant, a few thousand bucks here and there shoulld not make much difference if your earning six figures per annum, what is important is that you love and enjoy what you are doing...
just study hard, get good grades...
good luck kid !

I'm certain that a doctor earns more in 99% of cases.
I'm a pilot and have no interest in being a doctor...although I'd enjoy the doctor's pay more than what I earn now.
The realistic answer is to follow your dreams. I have a friend who's a pediatrician....she got tired of doctoring...and now makes custom purses / pocketbooks at home and sells them on-line. She makes very little money...but loves her work. (Thank God that her husband has a very high-paying job!)
Then there's such thing as a Flight Surgeon or Aeromedical Examiner...who is a doctor who works in the aviation field and is usually a pilot as well.

Be a doctor and learn to fly.
Flying will always be a thrill, but as a career???
Who knows if 10 years from now they would be needing anymore pilots to fly the latest airliners.
And please do not compare professions. IMO no job (Legal and Moral) is better than the next.
Final answer, be a doctor, earn a lot, buy an airplane, start a part-time air taxi service.

Money is a silly thing...its over rated. Both are good paying though so go with what YOU want. I would chose pilot. Just keep reminding you parents that you will be out eventually and they will have no control over your life. My parents just don't care. That's why I am going to be what I want to be!
