women were treated as second class citizen in the bible - a book approved by God! how can any women live with this? do they just ignore it even though their heart bleeds? women must be quiet in the church, must obey men, must cry out loudly during a rape or stone to death, how much more humiliation can a woman take? some said its the old time of the bible, but Bible is God's words, its infallible!

Be quiet and go do the dishes, woman. Men are talking, here.

Just kidding! Any sensible woman would reject god and religion but then so would any sensible man.

I am a woman of God and I think people take things from the Bible and misread them. Most men like Ephesians 5:21 wives submit to your husbands, but they stop reading right there but that is not the whole verse, the rest says that men are to love their wives as Christ loved the Church. He died for the Church he would never call it stupid or be nasty to it. He only wanted the best for it. so if my husband treats me the way Christ treated the Church I have no problem with these things because he will always hold me in the highest esteem.

What woman wouldn't want to be Queen? as mentioned in Esther. Deborah was a judge. Lydia was a wealthy woman (a seller of purple cloth) that invited the Apostle Paul into her home. Rahab was a prostitute but helped the spys and married an Israelite and became one of the ancestors of Jesus. Ruth married a Jewish man and became the grandmother of King David.
There are plenty of instances of God giving women special treatment beyond them being a second class citizen.
In the time when Paul wrote about women being quiet in church it was because the women if they didn't understand something would yell it out to their husbands....sitting in another section. Paul told the women to be sumissive but he also told the men to love their wives as they loved their own body....Now in this culture where the men didn't marry for love.....and Paul was telling them to love their wives. And wives to be respectfully summisive. That was a NEW thing for most of them.
Don't just read what is written....find out why it was written and to whom. Sometimes that makes a big difference in how you see what is written in the Bible. It is the infallible word of God....sometimes it's our interpretation of it that is failable.

I agree with you that women are treated as second class citizens in the Bible, but please consider this:

This has nothing to do with Judaism or Christianity. These religions do not justify the persecution of women. The reason is simple. Primitive man was incapable of understanding the equality of men and women. It was not yet ready to get rid of the evils of the past, such as slavery, warfare, etc.

Slavery, warfare and persecution of women are not justified in the Bible, they are permitted. God surely wanted to abolish these teachings eventually, but everything takes time. Human civilization had to evolve and develop. In Islam, women have a better and higher station than in the Bible, but are still not 100% equal. Finally, in the modern-age, through the Revelation of Baha'u'llah, it has finally been declared that men and women are equal. Baha'u'llah abolished slavery and warfare and declared that "Women and men have been and shall always be equal in the sight of God."

God's teachings are revealed progressively. You cannot expect primitive pastoralists and nomads to suddenly jump into the twentieth century. That would be anachronistic.

women are no longer badly regarded upon there are a number of properly understand women interior the Bible a pair even have their own books Ruth, Esther. Mary is extremely regarded upon, there is likewise Mary Magdalene. women carry all varieties of positions interior the Church some even are Pastor now, oh my, there are a number of woman who're Evangelist, Joyce Myers is an somewhat familiar woman Evangelist. I on no account get this element that asserts women are badly regarded upon interior the Christian faith. particular there are the stupid adult males that say they rule and the girls could desire to serve. truthfully however a actual Christian guy loves his spouse and treats her with understand and honors her. He could have the call of non secular Head of the living house carry yet that would not propose that he's to be a dictator. i like the asserting that God took a bone from Adams rib because of the fact it grow to be at his facet. a woman isn't decrease or under a guy she is his important different status beside him no longer under him or in the back of him.

What are you talking about man, it also says a man should treat his woman with love and respect, If the man isn't, well she doesn't have too obey, you gotta practice what you preach. Yes a man is in charge but not in mean or brutal way but a way that he knows best to take care of the family. He's the hard worker the one that should take charge but not be cruel or mean, the woman is the mother and care taker more nurturing

You are not rightly dividing the word of God.
It was woman who Jesus saw first when he came out of the grave,it was man that didn't believe her.
No it is man that doesn't understand through their pride that doesn't respect a woman of God.God would have respect of persons if you were right.Read the book of Ruth or the story of Debra or what Solomon says about a wife.
These stories are what has given me strength even if man doesn't believe.

Jesus was very respectful of women.
The first person who saw Him after He came back after death was a woman.

You are speaking about the culture of the day - not how God feels about women.

God's word is truth - and it speaks of sin and why we need Him.

You go, GInger!

Don't take things out of context for arguments sake. Believers see right throught that technique - and believe me - that doesn't shake our faith.
