If your entire family was involved in an accident and you had the choice to "sell your soul to the Devil" in exchange for them being able to live, would you? Would you rather have God in your life or, say, your kids, spouse, and parents? I mean this as a serious question. Preferably I would like to hear from believers, as non-believers can't give up a God they don't believe in.

When i say "sell your soul to the devil" i don't mean it literally, but rather as a figure of speech. I just want to know if people would rather have God or the people that they love on Earth.

Of course not. It isn't in his power to do so and he doesn't keep his promises. They are all lies, deception, subterfuge, traps, delusions.
Jesus is the Resurrection and the life. I've lost quite a few family members. I would gain nothing to end up in a place that I would never see them again. Dumb! I would rather let them go home to be with Jesus than to keep them here and miss heaven with them myself.
By the way, losing my brother to pancreatic cancer a few years back only strengthened my resolve to meet him again in heaven some day. He faced death with faith and courage because he had assurance he knew where he was going when he died. What a fine example. If we had hope in this life only, we would be of all men most miserable. We should always way every action in light of eternity. This life is like the grass which withers, like a vapor. It is only a dressing room for the next phase which will be when we've just begun to live!

Life on earth is for such a short period of time, while eternity is forever.

I love God more than anything or anyone and I would NOT even consider selling my soul to Satan for ANY reason.

If there was a devil, I'd sell my soul for lots of other things besides my family, provided I got a job in Hell, not just a place in it. Working as a demon torturer for all eternity sure beats being tortured.

What is with the if? You CAN sell your soul to the devil. You can do this by sinning. Just don't expect anything from the devil for your soul.

Seeing as I don't believe in the Devil or God, I can't really imagine what my actual response would be. Seeing as I have always felt I was doomed to Hell if there was a God, then I would probably take the offer. I would certainly do it for the sake of my loved ones. Ironically I can't see myself praying to god for help.

That's not a balanced exchange, giving up immortal life to save temporary life, so no. Now if the devil threw in some fried chicken to sweeten the pot...
