Clincal depression/Bipolar Disorder, with a touch of ADHD. Or, a-hem, as in the case with one of my co-workers who has all of that, the severe need to be the center of attention and admired. One-upmanship. Doesn't matter the scenario, the One-upman will top it. A search for social disorders should turn up some results in the category of neediness, self-assurance (lack thereof), and related conditions. Some people have the NEED to be PART of something, to the point of constant exaggeration, and/or oh, not chronic liar, but a related term. Compulsive Liar--the need to always exaggerate the truth to unrealistic proportions.

No but if you know what medication he is on could you let me know. Its just that my mates Mick Jagger and David Bowie introduced me to a person called Kylie Minogue the other night and apparently she has the same symptoms. At her last concert she was blabbing my name everywhere George Bush told me. Thanks in advance. Oh and, by the way, my mate David Beckham, has a similar problem. His wife and...just between you and me ....my friend, Victoria keeps talking about me too. Forgot to mention that you should ask your husband to mention my name. if the guy has never heard of me then he is a sick puppy after all. Tell him I am a guitar hero and I am sure it will all come flooding back to him. If it does your husband can have the biggest laugh of all time. Its when you get a couple of people together and start talking about an imaginary person but build them up to be someone big..... If he knows them, and he will,.... you can have an awful lot of fun at their expense.

Well you know just cause he is on medication, does not mean that he really does not know the people that he is talking about, so give that a thought.

You say unfortunately been landed- pity really, there are lots of us with serious mental illnesses who try to pay our way in life by working despite serious prejudices from co-workers.
