Would you risk carrying a non-standard round(hollowpoints or otherwise), such as .45, 10mm or .357SIG in your issue weapon without your superiors knowing about it?

John H., most handguns these days are chambered in more than one caliber, or have barrelled kits that drop in. Most can be turned into another caliber and back in seconds, so your theory is based on antiquated information, sorry...

Your question is a little confusing. Carrying a round that doesn't fit your weapon would be pointless. If the wrong size does go into the chamber and you fire it, there is a good possibility your weapon would become a hand grenade and you would be without a hand, and maybe various other body parts.

Hollow points and other nastiness like that are outlawed by the Geneva Convention Treaties. (I know it doesn't make sense. We are supposed to kill people in a nice way.) Being captured in posession of a banned weapon is a way to experience a very short and miserable life.

Yeah there has been talk of going up to a .40, even a .45, but the fear is that women wouldn't be able to handle that, so there is a good chance of a .40. I wouldn't do that since it is more likely that it get you in a lot of trouble than save your life. Just make sure 9mm hits between their eyes.
