The Holy Spirit is here to guide us and to make intersession to the Father for us. Ever hear of the phrase "guilty conscience"? Its the Holy Spirit trying to convince someone that what they are doing is wrong. Ever had a sleepless night because of something you did? I have before, because I am, along with everyone else, not perfect.

The Holy Spirit resided in the Most Holy of the Temple until his death, at which time the Great Curtain of woven gold ripped open for all to see that it no longer resided there. Prior to that, to even see in there would bring about instant death for all except the high priests. And even they had to crawl on their hand and knees to get in under the curtain, which completely covered the Most Holy.
After his death, and the ascension of Christ, it was poured out onto those chosen to be a part of the Bridal Class and to ascend to heaven in the first resurrection. The Holy Spirit allowed for their resurrection into a spirit form, like Christ, rather than a human form, like Lazarus.

When Jesus was here, He attended to peoples needs and taught them about God. When Jesus went to heaven , we needed a comforter, teacher and someone to draw us to Jesus, so the Holy Spirit was sent.

Jesus had to go away, Because God is a spirit, & have always been, He then at age 30 put his power into Jesus Christ to reconcile the wold back unto himself, & Jesus had to leave, because the comforter would not come, Because Jesus had to ascend up into glory to sit on the throne as our mediator, Then Jesus could dwell in us By God as the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Spirit wanted the place to himself for a while. Rumor has it that Jesus was getting on his nerves.

You are correct, it doesn't make sense.
Also, when someone dies, that means someone higher inflicted death upon it (a being and a supreme being). Much like something being revived from the dead, means someone higher revived it. If the story of Jesus coming back from the dead is true (and I doubt it) then it only makes him a creation as someone who gets death inflicted upon it and as a creation to be revived, so that negates him being a god or a son of god.
