It means 'to entrust'.

It's probably Zuid-Afrikaans, as in Dutch it would be 'toevertrouw(en)'.

e.g to entrust someone with your belongings

yup i´m struggling to find the right translation to english
but i remember it being used in Afrikaans like:
"hy het die informasie in my toevertrou"
in otherwords, to confide in or trust in somebody with something, thereby giving them responsibility for something of yours,

damm, what would be a good word for that in English?
