The name is somewhat self explanatory, photosynthesis is the process of using light (photo) to create (synthesis) sugars from water and CO2.
Photosynthesis wasn't really discovered all at once. Many scientists contributed to figuring out what photosynthesis was beginning with Jan van Helmont in the 1600s

Well, photo means light, and synthesis means to create from something. Plants use light to create food. Hence photosynthesis. I have no idea who created it, but there are also other terms like hydrolysis (water + break up) that are similar in structure.
Or as wiki puts it...
Photosynthesis (photo=light, synthesis=putting together), generally, is the synthesis of sugar from light, carbon dioxide and water, with oxygen as a waste product.

I have no idea who. It is simply a combination of synthesis, the means by which anything creates one thing from another, and photo, a Latin word for light. I doubt that anyone can give you the name of the person who first coined the term. It has been in use for a long time and is too commonplace to give much thought to its origins. If you find out let me know. I'd be curious to find out too but not enough to investigate it thoroughly.

I'm not sure about who found the name but photosynthesis means preparing food by using sunlight (by the plants)

6CO2+^H2O--->C6H12O6+6O2, is the formulation or photosynthesis, it calls for mild for energywhich is trapped by potential of the chlorophyll interior the chloroplasts of eco-friendly plants. Photosynthesis takes position all day and evening, yet in uncomplicated words the darkish reaction takes position at evening, (The area of the reaction no longer requiring mild) The plant also respires all day and evening. top the following is the formulation for respiration. word that both formulation are opposite one yet another. C6H12O6+6O2--->6CO2+6H2O, giving off potential from the glucose

Dont know who invented it but can tel u dat Photo refers to light.. and Synthesis is to make.. So basically it is "making out of light".. Since it is a biology term we know that chloroplasts in leaves synthesise food (Starch) from Co2 and H20 and light as a catalyst, hence the term "Photo-Synthesis"
