I have a dog that repeatedly tries to get into a room by scratching on the door He is o.k. with the rest of the house.I remember as a kid that my mother use to use a plant to deter dogs.I would rather a natural repellent rather than a chemical.

'plectranthrus ornatus' is the botanical name for dogs bane which is a herb used for a dog repellant and the extract is often used in commercial pet repellants. Citronella oil is also good for a dog repellant.

Hi Melbournewooferblue!!

Please look article:Farewell To Fleas - http://www.askedweb.com/askedweb/Farewell_To_Fleas/ -
Non toxic flea repellents:
- CITRUS REPELLENT
- AROMATHERAPY REPELLENT
- INTERNAL FLEA REPELLENTS

Also: Dog repellents for homemade hot-pepper sprays are similar to this one: crush chili peppers in a gallon of water, seep in the sun for several days, strain into a spray bottle, and spray onto plants that critters eat. This works to deter squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, cats, dogs, and deer.

Many creative inventions also work to physically or mechanically deter dog. Some devices use a blast of water to frighten dog away. Through trial and error you’ll learn which deterrents work best for you.
