I believe it depends on how you define what "terrorism" is. I suppose that the root cause of this comes from the conflict of two directly contradictory economic-political systems coming into conflict with one another. However, even if there were a reconcilliation of the two in a manner that resolved this conflict there would also have to be a slow phase out of corruption and a transition to shared and total governance by the people in a classless system. I really dont think anyone would be open to it but that would probably end terrorism as we know it now. However I think that after a while there would be groups of people that would want for this system to come back and would organize to fight to bring it about.

2) Do not yourself seek to do any thing illegally. Be on the right side of law.
3) Create forums to oversee that the authorities are doing the right things and that there are no consideration demanded or paid for doing the rightful things.
4) Create awareness about the need to cleanse our system free from corrupt practises. There should be public awareness about it. Whenever any wrong doing comes to light, people should not hesitate to agitate. Such movements should be organised in every village/town/cities.

To stop corruption, you have to eliminate the corrupt and pave the way for honest people to run the system. Honest people are powerless and afraid to rise up. But if all the honest people can unite together then it can become a powerful force and the good can win over the bad.

So, what stops them from uniting to gether?. Religion. If we decide to walk away from the religion, then you will see the beauty of humanity.

In order to stop corruption :
1.People will have to complain as and when they find it taking place. The rules should be a bit more strict.

2.Complain to the right person and see to it that the offendor gets the right punishment so that others can learn from his mistakes.

Demand accountability and kick those crooked elected officials out of office! Anytime you forgive crooked politicians they continue to steal and enrich themselves... get them out of office and demand stricter laws to punish crooked politicians that steal or abuse their positions. NO elected official, not even Dubya, is above the law or the Constitution of this land.

WE have allowed those crooked, lying politicians to get away with too much and now they think it is their RIGHT to cheat the public. GET RID of all crooked elected officials and those employed by the government, too, with mandatory jail sentences to regular prisons, not Martha Stewart health spas, and make them pay huge fines on top of whatever monies they swindled and never allow them to do business with any government whether City, State or Federal, again, or be a part of a business that does business with any government agency (Ever hear of the rotten apple in the barrel proverb?)

EDITED: I guess darth_maul_8065 is not aware of the corrupt and out-of-good-grace religious leaders of recent? TV Evangelists living off the monies they swindled old ladies for while supporting a mistress or gay lover, priests abusing boys and girls, rabbis and imans doing the same... c'mon, get real. Religion is nothing more than a tool for other demagogues! Keep religion out of government, thank you!

Religions throughout history have caused more killings, hangings, tortures, looting... etc. And where there's a theocracy there are more human rights violations than in dictatorships, and more people going hungry while the personal coffers overflow and leaders live in obscene opulence while committing obscene injustices and indecencies!

Corruption can only be overcome when people have a higher reason not to be corrupt. This can only come through religion. The example of history is that religion is the only force capable of establishing order in the world and the prosperity of its peoples.

there are many ways to stop corruption like

(1)there should be unity among all kind of people.there should be no discrimination of caste, religion.nowadays dividing people by their caste, religion has grown up.therefore to solve these problems eliminating of corrupts should be there.

(2)another way is the awareness of people.if peoples are not aware of their happenings in family matters or external affairs then it will not develop unity among them.like if they know how to solve a problem then in future they can solve the problems related to corruption.also making anyone against another by saying different things is wrong or by giving money to do something unfit is also wrong,so it should not be in the peoples behaviour.

so mainly unity and awareness are the main key to a develop and peaceful country.
