Friend everyone to a certain extent, are afraid to die, Even the Prophet Elijah & even Jesus, I think at first it would be a shock & Then WE will know that soon we will be with our lord. I have a spinal injury For the last 12 yrs. I fell from a tree & crushed # T-12, My spinal injury also consist of my spine being damaged from the neck down to my hip & my left leg. There has been many times I prayed that God would just take my life because of the pain being so great. Many doctors today can't see how I am able to walk today I also have been diagnosed with many health problems, One is which Cholerstrol,Blood pressure, iirugular hearbeat, My doctor even told my fmily, That the same kind of cancer my mothet die from is in the genes, & we all, my brothers & sister are subject to it,My CEA leval was 4.3 one time & normanl for man non smoking is 2.5 & down He now has me on medication to keep it down & if he can't then later on cancer will sit it. There is nothing any doctor can do to fix my spin, I have also been told that if my neck is pop in a certain way, That I can die instantly, I have 8 buling disc Bone spurs on all my back, & a T-12 Compresion fracture, & all my nerves that goes through my spine is being pinched off. & Guess what I am 57 yrs. Old & I did heavy work all my life & SSA Disability turned me down, I can not hardly walk out to the mail box sometimes, I have 3 doctors saying I am disable, I am 57 & I meet at least 4 of their qualification for disability, That shows that SSA disability really don't go over their claims

Life itself is a terminal illness, resulting in death. You don't need cancer to become concerned with your future. Every time you get out of the bath tub, there is a chance you could slip, fall, and die from a head injury. The amount of time anyone has left can be counted in seconds, everyday, so living in the light of Christ should be an everyday event.
As for dying, my mother does not plan to have the battery replaced on her implanted defibrillator, the next time it runs down, so it is likely she will not live another year, as it goes off several time a year. She is not worried, as she fully expects to be a part of the second resurrection of revelations, getting a new body and helping to rebuild the Earth back into a Paradise.

I'm not Christian; but I WAS diagnosed with a terminal disease 26 years ago. I used the skills I learned in Qigong, and other forms of energy work to heal and repair my body.
26 years later I am healthier and happier than I have ever been.

I don't think we would know for sure how we would react. I think we know how we would LIKE to react..but I think we would have many mixed feelings at first like anyone. I think after I talked things out with God and asked Him for help I may have a better idea of how I really felt. I am not sure if I would ever feel right with God or anyone....But I know that we have an advocate with the Father and we know the If we ask..He forgives..If we need help to fix up any wrongs He will help.
God Bless.

I have no fear of death, but I have 2 young children & a wife who I would be very sad for. And knowing my time was short I have only been a christian for a bit over a year, so I would mourn lost years here on earth.

People react in different ways. Is it any stranger for a person who has lived a full life to want to go on to what lies beyond death? And no one can truely be certain how they will react when the moment of truth comes.

Well, I think it would be normal to be a bit afraid because we dont know what will happen on the journey into heaven. I would be unhappy about leaving my son who needs me.
BUT, I sure look forward to having no troubles and living a life that is joy itself, and being with the One who loves me most.
I would give up my job, go and evangelise as much as possible, testify and make right where it needs to be made right in my life.

I would have comfort in knowing where I am going. However, God has given many of us the desire to live. I would feel sad, worrying about my kids and other loved ones. So, it would be bitter sweet. I guess I would do my best to make it a life lesson for my kids, never to forsake God, always praising Him.

The key is "if the pain is small", as a nurse i've seen many christians die in horrible agony, and they were strong believers , not weak "in faith".

My mother had that situation. She then went to a healing service. She went to the front for prayer for the condition. She was healed. That was more than 10 years ago.
