You don't say how old your cat is. They can become fussy eaters as they get older. They can also get fed up with the same routine, cats like variety. Try other types and makes of food and see how it goes. As long as he is his usual self in other ways it doesn't sound too serious.
If he is still causing you to worry after trying different food then go to the vet.

If he's eating biscuits, and as long as he's drinking you haven't got a great deal to worry about.
Sometimes the manufacturers of tinned cat food change the recipe which will put them off. It could be as simple as that.
Personnally I would still mix a little wet food in with a treat for a couple of days, but bear in mind that he may have a problem with a tooth. If you don't want to have a look your self, then drop into the vets. You may pay for a wasted trip, but with animals I always think peace of mind is everything.

If it's like that for a few days, check with your vet. Cats sometimes are not in the mood for anything, just like people, and don't eat as well. But it shouldn't last for many days. It can be that your cat has some problem, it could be with tooth, mouth, throat, or just whatever that would make him 'not hungry'.

Hi Mandee...cats who stops or barely is eating for a few days can be a symptom of something more critically serious and needs medical treatment URGENTLY. Cats will develop feline hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver syndrome) if they haven't eaten for a few days where the liver shuts down and this is fatal in cats. http://www.peteducation.com:80/article.cfm?cls=1&articleid=217
[edit] if he is eating his regular "cat" food he may prefer this and so long as he is eating this is perfectly fine. Cat food contains taurine so it's the most important food for him since this vitamin is very important. Some cats will become very finicky eaters if they are given a variety of food. We had this problem with our cats and we were advised not to force any meat especially tinned meat, as cats can be very independent. We were able to solve our problem with a cat food called yams and very little at a time, a cup full per day.

Don't let this go for more than a few days without consulting a vet. If your cat stops drinking as well, take him to the vet as soon as you can.

I would have a vet check him out. I lost my darling cat to cancer of the mouth- SCC- which is very common in cats. Our boy had a tumour in his mouth that was preventing him from eating properly- he could only eat certain things. There was nothing that could be done as the cancer was so advanced so please do check!

He could be sick. There are many pet illnesses that can make him lose his appetie there are just to many for me to name. I would take him to the vet to get it checked out ot just call your vet and see what they should have you do. That is the best advice I can give to you. I really hope he gets better.
