Some medicines such as aspirin, can be quite harsh on an empty stomach, particularly if it sits in one spot in the stomach while being absorbed. Food acts like a diluent to spread the aspirin around so that it is absorbed more slowly, and spreads it to different parts of the stomach. Some medicine, like penicillin, need to be taken on an empty stomach, so that they are not competing with the food to be absorbed, or being changed by interaction with the food.

Some medicines are not absorbed well by the body in their natural state. So the whole point of taking it before you eat is that the medicine will be absorbed by your body as it digests your food. Effectively you're tricking your body into absorbing the medicine by mixing it with food.

Some medicines need food as a buffer, so they don't eat a hole in the lining of your stomach.
The food acts to keep the medicine suspended off of the wall until it dissolves enough to be tolerable without nausea.

the reason why we eat medicine after food is that these are not part of our daily food..so the digestive juices are not secreted when we eat it first.so when we eat our daily food after this there is a possibility of these medicines getting into our intestine without being properly digested.so this may hurt the regular functioning of your digestive system.but if we eat our daily food first the digestive juices start secreting and this will inturn help in better digestion of the medicines.

I can answer from experience, if you do not eat with some it will make you throw up. I have had a double lung transplant and if I do not take my antirejections meds with food I get really sick.

ok,for example..if you take pills before you eat..your stomach is digesting that first..and it goes straight into the bloodstream..which can actually end up hurting you in some way or make you feel sick..so that is why you should eat something first,or with the meds.
