Yes. That is the view of traditional Christian theology, both Greek and Latin. Thomas Aquinas described God as "Pure Energy." The Father is the source of all, the Logos is potential energy, and the Holy Spirit is kinetic energy. The only difference is that Christian theology interprets energy on a metaphysical and ontological level, using it to explain change, existence and reality.

Its wilfully ignorant to believe that silly myth about being made in god's image after the publication of 'On the Origin of Species' in 1859 by Charles Darwin - everyone knows we weren't made from a handful of dust. If God was energy like us, he'd die, wouldnt he? The same way the 'energy' that forms a human being is returned to the earth as his corpse is consumed by bacteria and worms.
Why do theists think energy means soul? Do you think a lump of coal has a soul? Or water in a lake on top of plateau is more spiritual than water at sea level? No?

God was around before energy. He created energy so He can't be something that He created. When God said "Let there be light", on the first day, it was before He had created the sun, moon and stars, which the Bible says He created on the fourth day. Therefore, I think that "light" on the first day was energy, not sun light. With the creation of energy came time and space as we know it. Therefore, on the first day God created time and space. He is not bound by the time and space that He created. He is a spirit, just as our souls are spirits. When the Bible says that we are created in His image, it means that we have spirits or souls, unlike animals which do not have a soul.

Why not? God is power, and energy is power. Sound is energy, and God spoke the first words of creation if you believe the book of Genesis. Light is energy, and Divine light is often referred to in several different religions. There are probably several forms of energy that humanity hasn't even discovered, let alone proven.

Paul said that Jesus was the express image of the Father. This means that they look alike, as you would expect father and son. Jesus after the resurrect had a glorifed, perfect body. He could still eat with the apostles. His purpose was to show us how we would be physically resurrected.

Genesis a million:26 Then God suggested, "enable us to make guy in our photograph, in our likeness, and enable them to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the farm animals, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that circulate alongside the floor." We rule over issues. that's one way we are in God's photograph. Why are we sinners? initially we weren't. God initially made us suited. We fell and are actually decrease than a curse. it particularly is in simple terms like a sparkling automobile, if it must be made suited. Crash it and that's now no longer suited.
