I don't think you can avoid it fading a little, and you will probably notice a difference after the first wash. I usually wait for 3/4 days after colouring before I shampoo, and I always use shampoo specially formulated for coloured hair. Alternatively a very mild shampoo will be OK. There are also colour-enhancing shampoos on the market, that can help the colour last longer. Some people use colour shampoos between dye applications to maintain the look, but if you prefer not to use a colour-enhancing shampoo, as already mentioned, choose one that's mild. Protect your coloured hair from direct exposure to the sun and chlorine in swimming pools, as direct sunlight and chlorine are harmful for both your hair and your hair colour. Colouring usually leaves hair drier than normal, so be sure to condition it properly to keep it soft and to enhance its shine. Hair that's well-conditioned will be able to retain colouring for a longer period of time. Enjoy your new look!

Try using a shampoo and conditioner made for coloured hair. It will protect the colour from fading. Also buy products that will stop your hair colouring fading. Try only washing it every 2nd or 3rd day. Also dont let your hair get in any chlorine water or salt water. Try to not bake in the sun either. Eventually it will fade a bit so you will just have to write down the colour and colour it again when you notice it fading.
hope i could help ya

You get a color fade resistant shampoo and conditioner, but don't shampoo for 24 to 48 hours that will help seal the cuticle and keep color in.

Your hair will grow and the roots will show [ your natural colour] but you can buy hair-colour just to touch up the roots. As i have short hair i only use halve the colouring and when the need arises i use the rest. Else it is just a waste. I measure halve the colouring in a bottle and the peroxide in another, never mix the two and keep it that way. Saves on money. But yes you can buy colour-shampoo's but i find [i use light-brown] that the shampoos usually make my hair red. So best thing to do is buy Superdrug hair-colours they are cheap and some of the good one's are on special at Superdrug at the moment, buy one or two and store it. Good luck and have a lovely day.:)))

use a color care shampoo and shampoo in cooler water than usual. If you think about it when you wash dark clothes to use cooler water so they don't fade:0)

I AM AFFRAID YOU CANT KEEP IT FROM FADING BECAUSE WHEN YOU WASH YOUR HAIR THE COLOUR COMES OUT A LITTLE EACH TIME, AND THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN PREVENT IT FADING IS NOT WASHING IT!
