There is no such thing as a soul.
It is a fabrication. An invented explanation of how dead people get to travel from their body to an equally as imaginary heaven or hell.
Invisible - never trust a concept which contains the word 'invisible' as it is inevitably a load of garbage.
Pigs, therefore, are the same as humans ... none of us have a soul .... except for James Brown.

Pigs "ARE" souls.
'souls' are the living breathing creatures on this planet, including us.
(Genesis 1:20) And God went on to say: “Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls and let flying creatures fly over the earth upon the face of the expanse of the heavens.”

When Almighty God created Adam and Eve, no mention was made of any separate part that would survive death.
And the actual word...'soul' is translated from the Hbrew word NEPHESH...which means...that which breathes.

(Ecclesiastes 3:19-20) For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. 20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust.

Of course pigs have souls, so do little insects and blades of grass.

Without a soul; there is no life. The soul is what animates the body.

I think they do. if killing and spilling the blood of one animal is a gesture to a god, then all animals are recognized by a god-creator, therefore pigs have souls.

Of course not. No animal has a soul. That's what makes them different from human beings. Animals have no knowledge of a higher being or life after death.

Interesting question! It is something I think about too.

Since the soul is the personality of the human, and since animals too have such individual personalities, I am thinking that perhaps they do have souls.

I Hope so, cos I hope to see my pets in heaven!
