Yes, but at very minute amounts compared to the amount of CO2 they take in during the day. So don't be afraid to have plants next to you whilst you sleep. They won't take all your precious oxygen they generated during the day and suffocate you in your sleep. Even if you slept with the whole Brazillian jungle.

Certain types of plants (know as CAM Plants) take in oxygen at night to use the next day in photosynthesis. Found mostly in hot, dry climates, these plants have evolved a temporal separation between the intake of of Oxygen and photosynthesis to minimize photorespiration (a not very useful process believed to be a remnant of a minimally O2 atmosphere where Oxygen is used in place of CO2 in the first step of the Calvin Cycle, which causes a much smaller energy output.) These plants open their stomates during the night to take in oxygen and let out carbon dioxide.

Yes, plants use oxygen at night times and leave carbon dioxide, where as in the day time it take carbon dioxide for photosynthesis and give out oxygen.

Yes,they do.Like all living organisms plants take in oxygen for respiration, may it be day or night. We often tend to confuse respiration of plants with photosynthesis.Plants release oxygen only during day but they take in oxygen all day round.

yes it does.. Thats why u are normally asked not to keep a plant indoors in a human inhibited closed room during the night, as it uses up more oxygen, releases more C02 and as it is not replenished, the amount of co2 in the room will increase making breathing difficult..

Yes, but the amounts are tiny, it is not dangerous to sleep in an enclosed space with a plant. That's an old wives' tale.
