No. Never will be. A DVD burner uses a different "laser" than a DVD player.

no dear. the problem is the hardware. you need dvd writer, and never be possible that a dvd player or a cd writer could be a dvd burner.

although both of them employ "laser technology"... the difference between the two is the "laser" itself. DVD's laser is finer as compared to that of the CD, thus allowing one to stuff in more information on the disk (thus a DVD capacity is greater than that of a CD).
so to answer you question, NO. Simply because the difference is not in the software but in the hardware.

nope, a dvd burner is not the same as a cd burner. you would need to purchase seperate hardware to burn a dvd.

No not a chance, it's clear dude, CD-Writer and not DVD -Writer it's on the device or the part of your computer., if you want buy a DVD-Writer to satisfy what you want.

Go to Google and type in Nero 8 Micro. look for downloads (This is part of a big a package originally called Nero 8 which you would have to pay for. You don't need to pay for Nero 8 micro. Has a variety of functions to burn your stuff!

you cannot burn DVD on ypur PC but you can convert data and movie DVDs into CD by Nero 7.5.0.9 at www.nero.com
