Hi, if you're in the UK then it's most likely that your Siamese is registered with the GCCF.

In amongst your pedigree papers you should find a transfer form - a slip - giving your girl's registered information (normally name, breeder details, date of birth, breed, colour, reg number etc). If you haven't sent this off to transfer registration to your name, then you need to do so before entering her in any shows. The cost of transferring ownership into your name is £9. If you have any problems then I'd contact the Breeder.

There is information on the GCCF website about entering shows:
http://www.gccfcats.org/toshow.html
and here
http://www.fabcats.org/show_procedure.html

and this GCCF page links to a list of cat shows:
http://www.gccfcats.org/clubsnshows.html

I can't find out anything about age limits but it might say on the back of the registration document.

It's generally only costs you the price of a stamped addressed envelope to send off for a schedule for a cat show - the schedule has a list of rules so you should be able to check there.

If she's not registered with the GCCF then I believe that you can still show her at a TICA show (The International Cat Association). There are more details on their website:
http://www.tica-uk.org.uk/html/how_to_show.html
along with a list of shows.

TICA shows are different to GCCF ones - you'll get to watch the actual judging.

Hope this info & the websites help ... good luck

Hi there...if you purchased your Siamese from a breeder you need to get the breeder to send you the pedigree litter registration slip and send in money to register your cat. Additionally, consider asking the breeder or calling other Siamese breeders in your region to ask them how to best show your cat. Mentoring is one the best ways to get some great insight and experience first hand.

Each show has entry fees and will have different set of requirements such as whether a cat can be altered or unaltered for entry as well as the minimum age so you would have to check with each of the shows prior to entering. Most shows have minimum age requirement of 18 years.

You have to pay a contest entry fee. Your cat cannot be spayed or declawed. You should find a contest in your area and check it out before you enter your cat. You can ask the handlers there about what to do.
