tis a deep question! i dint have a degree in philosophy but here goes....in mankind's quest for technological advancement, the power of the atom was discovered. there are many good and peaceful uses of this knowledge but there are consequences as well if misused. i would say it is similar to "Pandora's box" once opened it is very difficult not to use such power in a way that benefits a particular government .the possession of this "power" is being used as a bargaining chip around the world.do you believe that Iran or n Korea cares about the environment. do you even believe that it is truly a concern to the USA.mankind has been at war since the beginning of time and i don't see changes in the near future. i guess all we can do is hope and pray that our leaders will not cross the threshold of ever using this power again. what happened to japan is a mere firecracker compared to the weapons we posses today!
