Zero, but you may want to rephrase the question to include a hyperdermic needle.

u can't get hiv from a tattoo, but u can get hiv from the needle if it was used on a hiv positive person and then u without being sterilized properly. going to an unlicensed tattoo artist increases ur chances of getting hiv a lot due to bad hygene practices

You can get HIV when you get a tatoo. You have to be careful. Go somewhere that looks neat, has a good reputation, and either uses single use needles or sterelizes everything. If you follow these steps you should be safe from HIV.

The chances are very unlikely, as long as you go to a properly licenced tattoist. The parlour is legally obliged to STERILISE the needles that they use after each session with a client for the sake of public health, so you shouldn't have a problem because it is illegal to use needles that are not. I wouldn't worry so much, I've been inked and there's nothing wrong with me :)

Assuming the "artist" uses clean needles there is no possibility. Localized infection is much more common. This would be caused by not cleaning the skin properly prior to getting jabbed.

probably very rare..

if you are planning on getting on, go in the tattoo parlor and inspect it first.. be sure they are clean and safe before letting them give you a tattoo.. and as he is getting ready to do it make sure he takes the needle out of a brand new package..
