Love is a sentiment rooted in attraction for another person. Attraction is an automatic reaction; it is not a choice.
With this in mind, if you have to question your love for someone, you probably do not love him "too much". You either love someone in his/her entirety OR you simply "like" him/her.
Search your feelings and re-frame your view on "love". Remember, true feelings are innate and should not be questionned. Once you are completely honest with yourself, you'll find the answer you've been searching for. Best of luck.
