WARNING: You are definetly going to destroy a CD by externally heating it in any form! So do not do what these 2 smarties suggested! Only a CD-burner or DVD-burner can burn CDs // how can You 2 ppl answer like that :-(

My answer:
Start program, choose what You want to do, select files to burn, select start process, insert empty CD (& maby confirm) & wait till well done ;-) - on which the burner ejects the cd or prompts You that it is finished! Do not interfere before that. It takes some time.

Details: You have a cd burner in PC? - if not get one.
Get a free Windows burning program e. g. from 1.) and install it.
With preinstalled PC from bigger store You will even find a preinstalled program such as Nero - some have a Wizard function use that. Also check on Nero that has a shareware edition - You can use it for some weeks, before You decide whether You buy it. In fact many shareware programs for burning exist.

Start it. There's is some options menu: choose whatever You want to burn e.g. copy an existing CD or create a new CD. & most programs will prompt You. Then there is a menu option start burning - click it, insert empty cd - wait untill burned.

Else chose make new cd/collection & You choose files to burn (often drag and drop) - They normally show You when You have enough files to fill cd. Then there is a menu option start burning - click it, insert empty cd - wait untill burned.

I suggested to get a free program because i find windows XP function is not working well. I often use DeepBurner Free Version which is listed on the sources link (or Nero 5.0 which came with my cd burner).

thx for reading my post

p. s. what hollandchua says in the next post: about microwave is sure better then the ideas mentioned earlier - SO if You ever want to destroy a cd - about 4 -6 secs microwave is enough to make a "written" cd totally unreadable. Thumbs up for that info.

wea don't listen to the first two SMARTY answer as a CD will be burn within seconds(if you put it in the microwave or hit up)

so to burn a CD, you must first have a DVD player, and secondly you must have the "Nero burner" software.

if you already have that two requirement, then just like normal, you put the empty CD in the drive and using the Nero program, you locate the file you want to burn and just press the button BURN
