How do I enable scandisc on my computer?

I can't find scandisc on my computer

If you have XP, the choose Run from the start button. Then type in chkdsk/f. It may say that it cannot run now, do you want to run it on start up. So say yes to this. When you start your pc it will run and check for bad areas on your hard drive.
The /f means it will fix anything that is wrong while it is checking.

go to start, programs ,accessories ,system tools and it should be there if not you have to go to control panel and find it under administative tools and enable it
